Le chef d’état-major français, le général Bentegeat, a fait (le 18 janvier) des déclarations sans ambiguïté concernant la possibilité de l’usage de la force contre l’Iran, pour la repousser avec véhémence. Le rapport de cette intervention selon nos sources internes : « Using military force against Iran to prevent it pursuing its nuclear programme would be completely mad, the chief of France’s defence staff said on Wednesday. General Henri Bentegeat said the idea of Iran possessing a nuclear weapon was a real nightmare but added that the way for a negotiated solution remained open.
